Class Descriptions

Note that all of our classes are accessible for all levels. However some do require time on hands/knees as well as moving from seated to standing. If these motions don’t work for you—no problem! Simply look to sign up for Guided Deep Relaxation, Chair Yoga, or Somatic Yoga as these will be appropriate for any range of motion.

Seated Meditation

Join us for 15 minutes in community for our seated meditation class. You'll learn the benefit of meditation and practice a simple seated technique designed to build your mindfulness muscles. This is real-life meditation.
The kind that is simple, friendly, and accessible.

Gentle Rise

Join us as we prepare for the day ahead with grounded warm ups, breathwork, and standing postures. Movements to circulate energy and blood flow naturally lead into standing postures for energy and stamina.

Gentle Rise + Energize

Begin your practice with gentle movements and warm ups before a more energizing flow. Practice includes breath work, asana, and relaxation.

Gentle Movement + Breathwork

In this class you will be guided through gentle, focused movements and pranayama (breathwork) to release patterns of contraction and discomfort in the physical body. By releasing tension from the body, the mind, and the breath, a sense of ease and lightness from within may be revealed. All levels welcome. Touching your toes not required.

Energizing Yoga

Join us for yoga practice designed to build strength and mobility, increase energy, and cultivate mental clarity for the day ahead. Expect a mindful progression of techniques including physical postures guided by breath-synchronized movement, relaxation, and seated concentration. Beginners and experienced students are both welcome; options will be presented for all levels.

Energizing Yoga + Breath work

Expect similar energizing practices with pranayama techniques (breath work) woven throughout class. Pranayama detoxifies the lungs, boosts energy, and promotes mental clarity. “Prana” translates as “lifeforce” in Sanskrit, and “yama” as “control”. Through breath work, we can adapt our energy and vitality to ultimately experience freedom, ease, and calm.

Gentle Yoga

Gentle Yoga will pair soothing movements in most supine, seated, or tabletop positions with slow breath. In uniting breath and movement, students can create a meditative state in the mind while gently releasing long-held tension throughout the body.

Mindful Flow

Experience the moving meditation of linking body, breathe, and mind. Gentle and moderate options will be given in supine, seated, and standing postures so each student can connect to their own rhythm. Great for focus, grounding, and resilience for whatever comes next.

Move + Meditate

Reset and balance the physical body and mind! This class will use postures to release tension and discomfort before easing into a 15 minute guided meditation. Expect a gentle to moderate amount of movement and meditative tools for mental clarity.

Restorative Yoga

Our restorative classes are a time to allow the physical body to rest. Expect slow and gentle movements intended to release tension from the body. Restorative classes incorporate longer periods of holding relaxing postures, so plan to have a couple of pillows, blankets, or towels available. Teachers will weave in soothing quotes + themes and also allow for longer periods of silence to help assist with deep rest. Meditation and breathing techniques aim at release + letting go.

Guided Deep Relaxation

This class is designed for those who need to deeply relax and restore both body and mind. Laying down in a comfortable position (mat, bed, or couch), participants will be guided through s a series of meditations and visualizations. You’ll leave powerfully restored and refreshed. All levels are welcome. Appropriate for those with limited mobility.

Yoga with a Chair (Mondays at 5:00 pm)

Yoga with a Chair features common yoga postures with customizable chair options. This can be useful for balance, injury recovery, strength building, or joint support. Students will be lead through a series of postures to release tension, build strength, and rest deeply with the extra support of a chair.

Somatics

Somatics, developed by Thomas Hanna, is a gentle practice accessible to any level of practitioner. In this class, you will be guided through small, focused movements to release patterns of contraction and discomfort in the physical body. This practice is intended to shift you from "doing" mode into simply being. By releasing tension from the body, the mind, and the breath, a sense of ease and lightness from within may be revealed. All levels welcome. Touching your toes not required.

Flow + Restore

A combination of gentle to moderate flow with restorative postures intended to take you from your busy day into a quiet, calm space for the evening ahead. Expect mindful movement of breath paired with postures intended to release common places of holding and tension, as well as build strength and flexibility. The second half of class includes deeply relaxing postures, along with breath work, meditation, and visualization intended to restore body and mind. Beginners and experienced students are both welcome; options will be presented for all levels.
