Erica believes therapy is a powerful opportunity to invest in yourself; to heal, grow, to reduce current suffering, and increase the ability to experience joy. She holds a humanistic and existential viewpoint and utilizes skill building, personal beliefs and values, humor, and creativity to make lasting life changes. She views the therapy process as a collaborative partnership between the client and therapist and is celebratory of her clients' authentic identities. She looks forward to meeting you!

Official Stuff: Erica M. Schweitzer, Psy.D is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist. She earned a Doctorate of Psychology at the Illinois School of Professional Psychology in 2008. Over the last 15+ years she has been honored to work with a wide range of persons struggling with life adjustments, trauma and violence, identity, systemic oppression, substance use, family dynamics, relationship problems, and mental health diagnoses. For well over a decade, she has supervised licensed clinicians and runs a training program for doctoral and masters level therapists-in-training. She also greatly enjoys teaching future therapists at Roosevelt University as an adjunct faculty member.
