I entered the world of yoga 12 years ago and feel a strong pull towards my practice whenever life becomes too hectic. Being a language teacher for more than 20 years, I have always wanted to share the gifts of yoga with others. So after practicing at Room to Breathe for 3 years, I decided to join their 200 hour certification program in psychologically sensitive yoga.

My goal is to offer an inclusive, welcoming space within my classes, so that everyone can feel like they belong and that they are enough just as they are. I want students to feel empowered and aware, listening to their bodies through gentle movement and reflection. 

When I am not practicing yoga, I love to travel, take long walks and naps, of course. I also teach English and Portuguese, cook, and take care of my plants. I am and will forever be a student of yoga, for there is much to be learned.
