A hybrid yoga series with Jamie Pikulin for everyone who is curious about yoga and wants to begin their yoga journey gently in a welcoming, inclusive environment. This series meets on Saturdays, March 9th-March 30th from 10:30-11:45 am. Join online or in-studio!
This 4 week series is a gentle introduction to the practice of yoga. We will focus on connecting to and building comfort with the practice of yoga; each in our own way. The structure for each class is the same:
-We will begin each week with a brief introduction and check-in. At this time, we will discuss what we will explore in class that day and you will be able to share any questions or concerns.
-Next, we will move into a guided meditation practice. This will be our foundation and will help create focus for the rest or our practice.
-From there, we will move into a gentle guided physical practice known in yoga as, “asana.” We will focus on maintaining comfort and awareness in our physical bodies as we gradually build a movement sequence.
-After the asana practice, we will gently transition to a breathing exercise practice known as, “pranayama.” We will work on gently building our pranayama practice each week.
-Finally, we will close our practice with a Q&A session.
We will build the series around a theme each week.
