Meditation – you’ve heard a lot about it and you want to try… maybe you’ve tried already, but it didn’t stick… so now what? How do you go about it?
As Chinese philosopher Lao-Tzu* said, millennia ago “a journey of a thousand li (steps) begins beneath one’s feet”*. So let’s start here, right where you are… taking one step at a time, how does that sound?
This mini series will weave gentle practice with philosophical and historical contexts.
By debunking the myths surrounding meditation, what it is, what it isn’t, the benefits of a regular practice or the different schools that exist, you’ll become more familiar and connected to the practice. And with a balanced mix of practical exercises you’ll gradually develop the foundation of your personal practice.
So, let’s begin with your first step, right where you are, at the start of your journey... shall we?
