We understand that skills - learning a language, playing an instrument, giving speeches - take practice. What if we approached joy not as a spontaneous accident, but as another skill we can practice? If we bring more joy into our yoga practice, can this lead to experiencing more joy in our lives off the mat? Can mindfulness really give birth to joy and happiness?
In this workshop, we will explore intentionally practicing joy. Through meditation, asana (movement) and pranayama (breathwork) along with journaling prompts, we will practice coming home to the present moment and recognizing the conditions of joy available within us and around us. Journaling in this practice can be whatever calls to you in the moment such as: writing in a notebook, drawing, coloring, knitting, sipping tea, working with a mantra or any of the limitless possibilities you imagine.
