Yoga + Journaling: Reconnecting to the Heart {ONLINE}

  • Room to Breathe Psychotherapy & Yoga (map)

“Some say there is a cave at the center of the heart. Others say it’s a pool with a flowering white lotus. Imagine yourself there, what do you see?” - Kim Krans

Connection, curiosity, compassion, and the capacity to be with ourselves and others. Finding solace in our relationship to self. Concentrating, energetically, to the space between us and the world around us. The heart center is an expansive landscape that invites us to consider what it means to be in conversation with ourselves and others with clarity and compassion. How do we remain connected to the heart when the world around us pulls our attention elsewhere? What do we do when we feel stuck and disconnected?

Explore the depths and varied representations of the heart center, a beloved landscape in our rituals and practices. This workshop will focus on different ways to work with the heart chakra Anahata (“unstruck” in Sanskrit) through asana, pranayama, visualization and journaling.

Journaling can look different for everyone. Attendees are encouraged to bring any materials for the journaling portion of practice that make sense to them. Markers, colored pencils, collage, etc. are all welcome to create a dynamic practice of self-expression.

Cost: Tiered pricing, $30-40
