Intro to Yoga for Trauma


Learn how yoga heals trauma and specific practices to use on the mat and in the moment. This class is a welcoming space for all who have been affected by trauma or are interested in learning how yoga heals trauma. Move and practice yoga in an intentional and holistic way that is healing for you. 

In this workshop, students will learn key concepts to apply in:

  • Support identification 

  • Compassionate awareness

  • Interoceptive cues

  • Empowerment and choice

  • Connection to others 

The goal of Intro to Yoga for Trauma is for students to learn how these tools can be used in yoga classes, time with oneself, and interactions with others. 

Some notes about the practice:

  • No prior yoga knowledge needed

  • Beginners are always welcome

  • Dress comfortably (you don’t need yoga or workout clothes)

  • You don’t need to qualify your trauma in order to sign up for class

  • Your body, your identity, your pronouns are respected, and you are entitled to safety

$140-100 tiered pricing for the full four week series. If your financial situation allows you to attend at the Supporter rate, your contributions support our ability to offer a community rate to folks experiencing financial difficulty.

Recording of each session will be available for 7 day replay for folks who aren’t able to attend live.
